Cindy Adcock is a lawyer, teacher, social activist and writer. She grew up mostly in Rome, Georgia, but also in the panhandle of Florida. She left home at 17 to attend college at Carson-Newman College. Her love of learning led her to Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where she earned a M.Div. She then attended Duke Law School and Duke School of Public Policy.
Cindy began representing death row inmates in 1993 and still has one client on North Carolina’s death row for women.
